The Battle of Gettysburg was a 3-day long battle as part of the Civil War. From July 3-5, 1863, Union and Confederate soldiers fired, fought, and died for their “side”. In these 3 days alone, over 7,000 men died and nearly 50k were injured. It was the bloodiest battle of the Civil War. As such, many alleged hauntings have occurred in Gettysburg. Up until a few years ago at Gettysburg the park used to close at a specific time. So depending on what time of year you were it could be pitch dark out by 9pm. Now you must be out at dusk.
